Television

Television is a compound world. It comes from the Latin word 'tele' and 'vision'. 'Tele' means distance and 'vision' means to see. So the world television means  seeing from distance. Television is an instrument which sends pictures to distant places.It is one of the wonders of modern science.

Papul Nepkow, a German scientist at first thought of sending image to a distant place. Later, on the basis of this experiment television was invented. A British scientist, John Bayard at first invented television in 1925.

 Television is powerful mass-media. It enables us to see and hearing something which is happening hundreds of miles away. It has a significant role in the following sectors.
